Mar.Sebastianos Syro Malabar Catholic Mission Taunton

About Mar Sebastianos – Sebastianos, who was accused of being a Christian during the Roman emperor Diocletian's persecution of Christians, was subjected to a brutal execution. He was tied to a tree and shot with arrows, but miraculously survived. With the aid of Saint Irene, he recovered and returned to confront Diocletian. In retaliation, the emperor ordered Sebastian to be beaten to death.

Mar Sebastianos is well-known for his prompt assistance to those facing distress, especially individuals seeking help for incurable illnesses, epidemics, and various challenges in life. His intercession is sought by many who are battling physical and emotional hardships and are in need of comfort and guidance.

About The Mission - Our primary goal is to create a close-knit and thriving community of Saint Thomas Christians in Taunton.Integral to this mission is the sharing of the profound teachings of Jesus Christ and the rich traditions of the Syro-Malabar faith with the diverse population of Taunton. Through this, we aim to ignite a sense of passion and dedication within our members, empowering them to lead lives that exemplify faith and joy.
